Rolling Stone Names Born This Way 11th Best Female Album

Rolling Stone compiled a list titled ‘Women Who Rock: The Greatest 50 Albums of All Time’. The list shows the best albums made by woman, and includes artists like Lady Gaga, Adele, Etta James, Mary J. Blige, and Beyonce.

According to Rolling Stone, Lady Gaga’s multi-platinum album ‘Born This Way’ is the 11th Best Female Album of all time. With the ranking, they included a short description which reads “It’s already hard to remember a world where we didn’t have Gaga, although we’re pretty sure it was a lot more boring”.

Rolling Stone also named an ‘Essential Moment’, which was ”Edge of Glory,” where a born glam-rocker earns her meat-dress bloodstains.”.

Born This Way sold 1.9 million copies worldwide in its first week on May 2011 and was the 2nd best selling album of the year. It has sold approximately 6 million copies to date.
