Exactly one year ago Lady Gaga’s second studio album Born This Way was released officially. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, selling 1,108,000 copies in its first week, it’s the largest sales week of any album since 50 Cent’s “The Massacre” did 1,141,000 in its first week, in March of 2005. After one year the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry announced that the single sold more than 8 million copies worldwide becoming one of the best selling singles of 2011.
